99% DONE!

I am thrilled to report that Claire's room is almost done! All that's left is to hang something on her door (the canvas that her Auntie made her), order the rest of the basket liners for her changing table, and I am ordering picture frames for over her changing table.

Like I said in a previous post, the camera doesn't really do her room justice. The walls really are a bright, light green, her bedding is all shades of pink with a hint of green, and the curtains and ribbon above the letters are the hot pink that is in her bedding.

Here are a few pictures (Lacey really loves to be in pictures...)...

As you can see, her car seat and diaper bag are ready to go. I know they will be sitting for quite a few more weeks most likely, but it feels good to have another thing crossed off my list. I haven't even started putting my bag together, I need to have something to do in a few weeks. :) That bag I can just throw together, but there are certain things I wanted to make sure I remembered for her, like her little pink hat. :) (And for all those that still don't believe she will come out a girl, I have a neutral outfit packed in the bag just in case. :) )

And, in case you wanted to know just how HUGE I am these days, here is my big ole 33 week belly.

I am so glad it will be September this week...makes it feel like the end is within reach. I really have loved being pregnant, but I am really looking forward to having her here. I know I will be beyond exhausted, my house will be a mess and all that, but I can't wait.

More Random Thoughts...

--This week I am 33 weeks pregnant, just 4 weeks until I am full term and 7 weeks til I am due! I am pefectly okay with her coming anytime between those dates. She will probably be 2 weeks late. Lord, help my husband.

--I really can't wait for getting out of bed to be easy again. Bud, however, finds me getting out of bed HILARIOUS. It will also be great to see my feet again.

--Nesting could hit annnnyyyy time now--my house could really use some attention.

--If mother nature could help me out and allow it to cool off just a little, that would be fabulous. Heat index was still in the 90's today, was over 100 yesterday. I don't belong here.

--If someone finds my brain, please send it back. I somehow managed to lose the memory card to the camera last weekend. I remember putting it in the computer to upload photos for the blog, but do not remember taking it out. It is not in the computer or the camera, and we have turned the living room inside out looking for it. (And no, Lacey didn't eat it--she is a very picky eater.)

Last thought for the night....I really love our little family and can't wait to add Claire to our next family picture. I think this picture shows just how happy we all are....who says dogs don't smile?? :)

Progress!

Bud and I spent some time working in Claire's room tonight. What we thought was going to be a simple project turned into a bit of a headache. (Seems to be a theme with her room....)

This is what we accomplised tonight...

The picture doesn't really do her room justice--the paint color doesn't look right, and the bedding is a little off. Not sure if it is the camera or the lighting in her room. But anyway, the ribbon over the letters is the same hot pink that is in her bedding, so it looks much better in person than it does here. I guess you will just have to visit if you want to see what it really looks like. :)

I also got a few things hung on the opposite wall, but haven't finished that area yet, so no photo tonight. I got some laundry done this week...this child has more clothes than any 2 (maybe 3) babies could possibly need. Oh well. They are all REALLY cute! :)

We got the 3D ultrasound done on Friday, it was SO cool and completely worth the money we spent. We got to see her yawn, put her fingers in her mouth, smirk and frown...it was amazing. She's already got quite the set of cheeks...I would expect nothing less from my child. :) Here is the best shot we got of her....

We think she's pretty cute already, but we are a bit biased. :)

Random Thoughts

If you haven't yet visited my sister, Sarah's blog, please read her latest entry before reading mine....

http://sarahandjedbobblehead.blogspot.com/

I forgot my camera that day, so Sarah was in charge of getting pictures for me. I love the one of me with Isabel and Abigail--they are so fun. Like Sarah said, Abby was really curious as to what Claire was wearing. Was she wearing a dress??? (I said yes, a pretty pink and green one just like the one she had on.) Did she have a diaper on?? Does she have hair? Too funny. When we were leaving, I told Abby that the next time I saw her I would have Claire with me...her eyes got SO big, and she said, "She's coming out?!?!? I can't wait for Claire to meet her cousins, they already love her!

A few observations from Sarah's blog....
1-It is a really good thing I decided not to wear a real dress, as you can see by the picture of me opening gifts, bending over to get things puts me in a very non-lady like position....

2-Sarah failed to mention that I got the answer to that question correct....my team did not win, and I blame that on the fact that no one believed me that baby's eye color isn't permanent until 6-9 months.....my husband's competitiveness has possibly rubbed off a tad.

3-I look WAY bigger than I feel....good or bad thing?!? I still look down and think, my belly isn't that big! HA! It looks HUGE in those pictures!

We are going to have a 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday, and hopefully get a sneak peek at our little lady! We also plan to make sure she is still a girl...I will keep you all posted. :)
